Temple Micah Heading
Membership

August, 2008

Dear Temple Micah Members and Friends:

Since our founding in 1969, the doors of Temple Micah have been open to everyone, anytime. Through your generous support, we will continue our special mission, providing a warm atmosphere where all individuals are welcome and can realize their own connection to Judaism, without financial burden.

To meet our financial obligations we rely on modest membership dues and other contributions which enable us to provide the religious, educational, and cultural offerings you have come to expect. Despite rising costs, the Board voted to keep all fees the same as last year.

The primary reason we can offer so much for so little is that we have been the beneficiaries of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville’s gracious hospitality, warm fellowship and beautiful facilities for almost 40 years. The Church has recently launched an ambitious 3 year capital campaign, “Strengthening our Foundation for Today and Tomorrow,” with a goal of $1.5M. They already have pledges for over $1M from their membership. Temple Micah has pledged $15,000 ($5,000/year for the next 3 years) to their campaign. Most of the funds will be used for major repairs and renovations to the grounds, the historic church building (our shul), and the adjoining minister’s home. To help us fulfill our pledge, we encourage each of you to be very generous and add a special contribution when you renew your membership. After all, we could not be who we are if it were not for the goodwill of our good friends at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville.
